The 42nd Gen. Conference and Diamond Jubileee Celebration of United Pentecostal Church - North East India (UPC NEI) was held succesfully by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ during April 15-18, 2010 at A.R. Ground, Aizawl, Mizoram, India. The Theme was: "Proclaim Liberty" [Lev. 25:10]. Rev. Bruce A. Howell, General Director of Foreign Missions, Rev. Lynden G. Shalm, Regional Director for Asia, Rev. Brian Norman, USA, Rev. John Shivers, USA, Rev. John W. Downs, Gen. Superintendent of Australia, Rev. David Kent, Australia, Rev. Robert Taylor, Australia, Mr. Joel Taylor, Australia, Mr. Michael Estreich, Australia and Mr. Frank Piaia, Australia were special guests and speakers in the conference. Delegates from all the Church Districts and Mission Fields were in attendance. This Conference was a very auspicious occasion since it is along with the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the United Pentecostal Church (North East India). From the very beginning of the conference our Lord, Jesus Chirst was among us and He blessed us and stayed among us in Holy Spirit. In the opening night Rev. Bruce A. Howell preaches the living words of God. On April 16, 2010 Department Conferences were held at different churches in Aizawl. Here important agendas were dicussed and passed. In the evening General Headquarters Foundation Stone Laying Function was held at Mualpui by Rev. Bruce A. Howell. The place and buildings which are planned to be constructed for Office and other purposes were offered to our Lord, Jesus Christ for his glory. On the night April 16, 2010, Evangelical Service was being held at the conference pandal at A.R.Ground. Rev. Brian Norman, USA and Rev. John Shivers, USA preached the living words of God. On April 17, 2010, General Conference Business was held at the Conference Pandal. At night, Evangelical Service was being held at the conference pandal. Rev.John W.Downs and Rev.Brian Norman preaches the living words of God. Diamond Jubilee Souvenir was released by Rev.Lynden G.Shalm. On April 17, 2010 Diamond Jubilee Celebration was held at the Pandal and the hon'ble Chief Minister of Mizoram, Pu Lal Thanhawla was delivering greetings. He mentioned that we, the Mizo people are very special in God's view and we have to preach the gospel to every creature. 14 Church Ministers were Ordained by Rev.Bruce A.Howell. In this conference, as was the Diamond Jubilee Celebration, liberty was proclaimed in the name of Jesus Christ to every members having chained by any kinds of sins. As always, the main purpose of this Conference is for the glory of The Lord Jesus Christ. 271 members recieved the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Praise the Lord! General Conference 2010 Programme Sheet
