From the Desk of the General Superintendent

It is a great achievement for the North East India United Pentecostal Church to be able to launch its own Internet website. It is almost 60 years now since the North East India United Pentecostal Church came into existence. There have been great achievements during the period, as well as signs of God’s great work.

First started in mid-February, 1950 by Rev. Ellis Luther Scism, UPC Missionary from America along with sister R.A. Dover, since then there is no looking back. It spread the gospel within and outside the region even stretches to countries like Myanmar, Bhutan, West Bengal and as far as the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The North East India United Pentecostal Church comprises of four major departments namely – Missions, Sundays School, Pentecostal Youth Department (PYD), and Ladies Auxiliary Department (LAD). Besides these, it has also set up projects like Theological College (Calvary Bible Institute, Shillong) Orphanage Home (Audrene Scism Children Home, Kolasib) and School (Susanne Downs Boarding School, Kolasib)

In its endeavor to offer better services, it set up various Committees for reformation of society, spreading of Gospel through literature at the same time observing ethical Christian life within and outside the Church.

The website will be regularly updated and will strive to be interesting, factual, reliable, informative and educative.

Contacts.

Most importantly it is the objective of the website in bringing about information of the NEI UPC, its activities and to create a forum for spreading the true Gospel to all.

It is my earnest desire that many benefit from the website either spiritually or materially and all are welcome for suggestions and feedback for its betterment.
